More News on Gackt and Yoshiki!!! *squee*

Ahh. I should have kept my mouth shut [or rather my words to myself].xD xD xD

Because.. Look what I found!!!

Yoshiki and Gackt's new band are to start activity in 2007 and they will follow with [get this] a US TOUR!!!! Then they will start domestic activities, meaning in Japan I suppose.

I am so moving to the USA now.xD xD xD

Or maybe Japan. Where Gackt actually lives.

The band will compose about 5 people and Yoshiki will be in charge of drums and piano [GLASS PIANO LOVE!!!] while Gackt will be vocals.xD xD xD

Yes. Leave the piano to the piano god Gackt!!! xD xD xD Yoshiki is better than youuu! *BEAMS!*

I told my parents in all my excitement [not everything obviously. Only my mom knows who Gackt is and she still can't pronounce his name.-.-"] and my dad went, you think they'll go to the midwest? *disbelieving look* So I said, "I'll FLY to wherever it is!" And he rolled his eyes going "You think money grows on trees?!" -.-" So much for parental support. But whatever it is..

On another cheerful note, Surfing the Menu today was great.=) I'm going to research more on using acid to cook. Citric acid I mean, like the kind in lime and lemon juice. It seems like a very interesting process.=)

Cuteness!!! xD That has to be the most adorable bunny ever.*beams* I love bunnies!

Anyway. After reading someone's rant.. xP I feel like ranting too! Well. Not ranting exactly. More like an expression of views. I know. It totally doesn't fit this fangirling post but..xP

I always wondered why Singaporeans don't seem particularly proud to be Singaporean. At GYLC, all the Americans were like, omg I LOVE AMERICA. And then I started thinking.. Can I really walk around everywhere declaring that I love Singapore? [Do people even know where Singapore is?] There are things I love about my country and there are things I detest about it [like the horrendous education system which is so good, they ought to tone it down a little. O irony of ironies..xP] but can I honestly say I love it?

There's something about national pride here that makes all of us a bit cynical and thinking about how patriotic everyone is like it's a bad thing. Like when I was watching the national day parade, sure it was a lot of propaganda for the country but isn't that how every country builds up strong bonds? Isn't that how you try to instil a sense of pride in your citizens? What has Singapore done wrong? What made me so cynical and unable to say without hesitation that I love my country without feeling like an overly patriotic fool?

You could blame the PAP of course, for shoving all that NE stuff down our throats but I think knowing our history is important. [If only they didn't have to package it like that..O.o] I mean, everyone does the history of their own country but here? It's barely a necessity since it's just NE anyway. Maybe if they made it a subject, not one with essays and horrendous exams, and got people to learn about our history, we'd appreciate it just a bit more. Sure, it's not particularly exciting or dramatic but hey. It's our history. Deal with it.

Already I'm thinking, omg I sound so damn patriotic. It's supposed to be a positive trait. How in the world did it turn out to be a negative one to me? O.o

Ah well. Time to fangirl somemore..xD Wee!
