This is the nth time I've re-read Paradise Kiss but I still love it every single time.
The expression of emotion, and the subsequent tearing at your heart is relevant (it seems) no matter what age I'm at. There are some manga that I cannot bring myself to read again because what I thought was brilliant has turned out to be pretty boring and angsty now...
I guess that's how brilliant literature stays relevant no matter which era it is in.
When I took part in an experiment on Friday, I was left with so much free time on my hands, that I managed to finish Mishima's Spring Snow (春の雪) which was super sad, and Soseki's Ten Nights' Dream (夢十夜) which was erm confusing. But I felt really productive because it's been so long since I've been able to finish a book. And because I finished these 2 novels, I've started on another, No Longer Human (人間失格) by Dazai Osamu which is already depressing and I've only finished the first part. O__o
Reading and watching depressing stuff apparently is a favorite pastime of mine.=P
I would let George lead me to paradise anytime. A brilliant fashion designer can do that. ^_^ [Getting those clothes from ParaKiss is another way =P]
Having been distracted by XW and xiaxue's ROM photos (they are truly awesome. I'm really amazed at how nice a wedding can look!), I forgot what I wanted to say -__-
Well, I think it's unfortunate that I'm reading so much less than I used to. [I just bought several new books from Amazon though! Hence 人間失格... やった！] But I think my love for stories will never die - manifesting itself in novels, manga, anime, dramas, movies... ^_^ They are all stories - whether created or taken from real life, dramatized or muted, deliriously happy or depressing... All stories have a way of gripping your heart and pulling you in the direction of its end... Allowing you to, just for a little while, immerse yourself in a world that seems to be separate, but not entirely, from your own.
As everyone knows, I adore anime. Like, adore. And so, every so often, the most adorable OPs and EDs are used, accompanied by kawaii animations! So I thought I'd share them here.^_^

I love this particular ending theme!!! It's so cute!!! =D =D =D And it's in English, so everyone can understand it! The band, Amplified, is from Hong Kong but was discovered by Sony Japan so they released their albums there. ^_^

Azumanga Daioh is cute, retarded and oh so entertaining when all you want is to kill your brain cells for a bit. ;)
Do You Want To from Paradise Kiss
Another English songs! We're on a roll today.. The song is originally by Franz Ferdinand as many people would know.=) I thought that this song and the style of animation didn't really suit the elaborate fashion style of Paradise Kiss but maybe they wanted to convey the wacky world that they all live in, a world that is contained within the regular world, yet at the same time is something unique to them.
Galaxy Bang! Bang! from Galaxy Angel
Ahhh I have fond memories of this absolutely hilarious and completely retarded show. It wasn't something I specifically picked to watch but it was showing on AXN so I watched it anyway.=P It's enjoyable like Azumanga Daioh, as long as you chuck your brain out of the window first.
Hare Hare Yukai from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
This provided much amusement at the end of every episode of this entertaining yet slightly thought-provoking series. Originally shown out of it's original order [on TV, it was aired in the "Haruhi" order, on the DVD release it was shown in the correct "Kyon" order], it makes the whole show even more interesting!! xD Haha.. I love the dance. It is too cute.
And totally made for cosplay. HAHA.
Ooh I love nice anime songs, I realized however, that most the animes I watch have beautiful songs but melancholic/not cute OPs and EDs. Sadness. The songs themselves are a huge draw though. And I think that's what counts. ;)
I've thought of my winter template already!! Now to see if it is executable.. X__X Sigh. And o yes. Studying? I have to do that too.

Introducing.. The large ring that is a limited edition with only 100 pieces on sale! It's modelled after the large ring Yukari wore for the fashion show that *sighs dreamily* George made for her.^_^ *beams to self*
It also costs a very scary sounding 39,900yen. It's not quite my style seeing as it is huge and very embellished.^_^" But! It would probably look good on other people. Yay.
Next up! The ring I prefer since it's a lot more subtle.. ^_^ The small one is the 'regular' edition and is modelled after the one that George made for Yukari after finding that she loved the huge ring but didn't want her to destroy it before the show.^_^ So sweet. *beams*
It costs a slightly more afforadable, but still rather expensive 15,750yen. It's pretty! ^_^ I like this one a lot. But I'm not fond of rings..
Anyway, the next piece is my favourite.=D =D =D They are earrings!!! Dangly subtle ones too.^_^ They are modelled after the earrings Yukari wore in the fashion show when she was wearing the blue dress.
It costs a ridiculous 10,290yen. But I think it's really pretty!!!!!! I WANT!!! (T_T) But I mean.. look at it. Does it look like it's worth 10,290yen? No? I didn't think so.xP But still. It's so pretty!!! (T_T)
They really look like the ones from the manga!!! Except for the fact that the rings aren't beaded but are made from metal.=) But I think beaded ones might look really cheapskate so.. I think the choice to use metal was the right one.^_^
Yay.=) I love manga! It's so destressing. ^_^ I told my aunt I use manga [haha. only recently. ;)] and going online to destress and she was all, what's manga?! ^_^" Older generation.. *shakes head* But when I told her "Japanese comics", she seemed to know what I meant. So.. yes. Manga Club! ^_^ Yay.
